Many years ago, in a world older than memory, happiness disappeared. An evil curse had swept across every land, every forest, and every sea. It stole laughter from children, songs from birds, and smiles from faces. Flowers no longer bloomed brightly. Rivers flowed silently. People worked, travelled, and lived, but they felt no joy. The world had become grey and cold. Far away, beside the shining Lake of Goodness, there lived a wise elder. The elder had spent many years helping others and knew the stories of the ancient world. As the curse spread, they watched villages fade into sadness and wondered if hope itself was disappearing.

One gloomy morning, while walking beside the lake, the elder discovered something extraordinary. Nestled among the reeds was a nest that had been abandoned. Inside lay three swan eggs, smooth and white, untouched by the darkness surrounding them. The elder remembered an ancient legend. Long ago, it was said that if the world ever lost its way, three swans would be born. One would carry Courage, one would carry Curiosity, and one would carry Kindness. Together, they would help restore what had been lost. The elder realised these eggs might be the world's final chance. If the curse found them, all hope would be gone.

So the elder carefully wrapped the eggs in a warm blanket and set out on a dangerous journey. Across frozen plains they travelled. Through silent forests where no leaves rustled. Across deserts where the wind no longer sang. The elder protected the eggs from icy storms, from hungry beasts, and from the dark shadows of the curse that searched every corner of the world. At last, after many days and nights, the elder reached the Mountain of Hope. It was the highest peak in the world. Near its summit, hidden behind a curtain of stone and ivy, the elder discovered a small cave tucked safely away from sight. "There," whispered the elder. "You will be safe”. Weeks passed. The elder gathered soft moss for bedding and built small fires to keep the eggs warm. Every day they spoke encouraging words to them. "Do not give up.“ "The world still needs you. "Your time will come. "Outside, the curse continued to grow stronger. Villages became silent. Fields became empty. The skies turned pale and lifeless. Sometimes the elder worried they had come too late. Sometimes they feared the legend was only a story.

Then, on a day when the world seemed darker than ever, something happened. A tiny crack appeared in the first egg. Then another. And another. The cave filled with gentle light. The cracks spread across the shells until, with three soft pops, the eggs hatched. Out stepped three beautiful young swans. The first shone with a warm golden glow. "You are the Swan of Courage," said the elder. The second sparkled like starlight dancing on water. "You are the Swan of Curiosity.“ The third radiated a peaceful silver light. "And you are the Swan of Kindness.“ At once, the cave brightened. Beams of light streamed from the walls. Warm rays of optimism danced through the air. For the first time in many years, the elder smiled. The swans were special, but they were still young. They had much to learn.

The swans remained on the mountain, growing stronger each day. The Swan of Courage practiced facing fears. It learned to soar through storms and fly into darkness without turning back. The Swan of Curiosity explored every corner of the mountain. It asked questions about everything it saw and searched for hidden wonders. The Swan of Kindness spent its days helping creatures in need. It cared for injured animals and comforted lonely travellers who wandered near the mountain. As the seasons passed, their gifts grew stronger. Courage became bravery that inspired others. Curiosity became wisdom and discovery. Kindness became a light powerful enough to soften even the hardest hearts.

One morning, the elder looked at the three swans and knew the time had come. "You are ready," the elder said. The swans spread their magnificent wings. Together they stepped out into the world. The Swan of Courage flew first. Wherever it landed, people found the strength to face their fears. They stood up to the darkness instead of hiding from it. The Swan of Curiosity followed. It inspired people to wonder, learn, and imagine again. Inventors built new creations. Children asked questions. Explorers discovered forgotten paths. Then came the Swan of Kindness. It touched hearts wherever it went. Neighbours helped one another. Strangers became friends. Communities grew strong once more. Slowly, the curse began to weaken. Colour returned to the flowers. Songs returned to the birds. Laughter returned to children. And as the three swans travelled together across every land, hope spread faster than darkness ever could.

Years later, the curse disappeared completely. The world was joyful once again. The elder, now very old, stood beside the Lake of Goodness and watched three magnificent swans glide across the sparkling water. They remembered the day they had found the abandoned eggs and smiled. The world had not been saved by magic alone. It had been saved by three simple powers that lived inside everyone: The courage to face what is difficult. The curiosity to learn and grow. And the kindness to help others along the way. And from that day forward, whenever people felt hope slipping away, they would look to the sky for three swans flying together and remember that even the darkest curse can be defeated when courage, curiosity, and kindness work side by side.
