Our Wellbeing Committee
Established in January 2024, our Wellbeing Committee brings together colleagues from across the school, including members of SLT, teachers, support staff, and the Playteam.
Our purpose is simple: to continually enhance staff wellbeing. We believe that when staff feel supported, valued, and happy, our children benefit too. Working in education is both challenging and incredibly rewarding, and we want to ensure that talented people remain in our school so they can continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of our young people.
The committee meets once every term, providing an open forum where staff can raise concerns and discuss the issues that impact wellbeing the most. Using feedback from wellbeing surveys, we have been able to identify key challenges—such as communication and workload—and take strategic steps to improve them.
We recognise that wellbeing is not something that can be addressed once; it requires ongoing reflection and review. Our commitment is to keep striving for the right balance so that all staff feel supported in their roles. In addition to our regular work, the committee also organises an annual wellbeing day for all staff to enjoy.
Our mission: ensure that talented people remain in our school so they can continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of our young people.
